After completing a BME at SMU and an MSM at Valparaiso University, Indiana, I taught organ at Valparaiso U., won a national organ competition, studied organ in Switzerland, and concertized. Since then I've been choral director, organist or minister of music and arts in a number of churches, including Northaven United Methodist & University Park United Methodist in Dallas, & Christ the Servant Lutheran in Allen. I was also organist at Temple Emanu-el Dallas for 10 years. In 1989 I was ordained a clergy in the United Methodist Church, after seminary study at Perkins School of Theology. I recently retired from the Methodist Church but continue working as Director of Music Ministry at West Plano Presbyterian Church and am currently Dean of the Dallas Chapter, American Guild of Organists.
